Guidelines for Consigning at Curvy Jules Upscale Consignment & Boutique

We aim to provide interesting, high-quality consigned women’s clothing and accessories in excellent condition, at a good price.

What:

Women's Designer and High Fashion Sizes 12 to 32, including maternity wear
Accessories, including purses, jewelry, scarves, belts, shoes, hats and perfumes

When:

Seasonally and by appointment only.

Appointment times fill up quickly; please therefore note when to call (713) 417-3740

For fall and winter items, call during the last two weeks of July to schedule appointments in August, September, October and part of November.
For spring and summer items, call during the last two weeks of February to schedule appointments in March, April and May.

Please note: This is our 15 POINT CHECKLIST

1. Current Style - Bridge designers or above.
2. Label/Brand - Items with labels removed will not be accepted.
3. Overall appearance - No fading, pilling.
4. Clean - Pressed and on hangers with no wrinkles, stains or tears.
5. Hem - Good condition, no fabric tape.
6. Edges - No wear on fabric.
7. Pockets - No holes, tears or sagging.
8. Underarm - No stains including deodorant marks and stains.
9. Collar - No stain, make-up, lays well and no excessive wear.
10. Buttons- All present and securely sewn.
11. Zippers - Good working condition.
12. Lining - No tears or stains.
13. Odor - No pet, smoke, body odor, heavy perfume, mold or moth ball scents.
14. Seams - Tight.
15. Need - What is needed on our sales floor and what the public is wanting. It is the consignees responsibly to check all items prior to consignment appointment.
Any item found not to pass this 15 point inspection will be discarded or donated. Bring us your best. Please, do not be offended if we pass on an item. We do not want to waste your time or ours accepting items that we feel will not sale.
Drop and Run customers: You will have 10 days to pick up unwanted items before they become the property of 4 The Love Of Curves Boutique.
Hang each garment on its own hanger. Due to increased numbers of consignors, we regret that we cannot accept bags or boxes of items for consideration.
We don’t accept designer knock-offs. If we’re in any doubt, we’ll ask you to sign a verification that your designer item is authentic.
We don’t take Walmart, Kmart, Target or Old Navy brands. (One possible exception would be Target’s designer line of clothing.

We set the selling price and reserve the right to reduce any items at our discretion during the 60-day consignment period. We hold end-of-season clearance sales twice yearly.

The Consignor receives 45% of the selling price. Checks for sales totaling $40+ are mailed out monthly for items sold during the previous month.

Once items sell, you have two choices:

A check for 45% of the sales price
In-store credit at 50% of the sales price

If, per the Consignor Agreement, you elect to pick up unsold items, then it is your responsibility to do so within 2 weeks of the designated date. Items not picked up become the property of Curvy Jules Upscale Consignment & Boutique and may be donated or otherwise disposed of without further notice
